Location:

Mini sessions are done behind our house. We have a unique setting of trees, gravel path and even a red barn in the background.

Printing:

You will receive an online gallery within two weeks of your session, but typically even sooner. This gallery will allow you to email, share on social media and download the photos to your computer. We recommend printing at mpix.com, but you can print anywhere you choose.

Time:

A mini session will take 20 minutes. I will keep things going at a comfortable and fun pace and will be more than understanding of your children's needs as I have little ones of my own. You will be surprised at how many pictures we can get in a short 20 minute time!

Your photo session will be scheduled one hour before sunset for optimal lighting. Summer sessions will take place as late as 8:00pm and early spring and late fall sessions will take place as early as 5:00pm.

Wardrobe:

Feel free to dress as you prefer, but we offer the following as a suggestion of what works best. It is good to coordinate, but refrain from matching. Start with one key wardrobe piece and build off of it. A wardrobe should consist of at least three to four coordinating colors.  Make use of layers, accessorize and use textures. These things really add dimension to your photos.  Bold pops of color look great in photos, but try to avoid neon colors, especially coral. Don't wear clothes that have large logos or writing on them as it takes away from you.  Shoes matter; a unique pair of shoes, heels or rain boots can really add style to your photos.

Session Tips:

Be yourself.  I know, easier said than done.  However, some of the best pictures come when we are in between posed shots and the family does not realize that I am still going!  Laugh, play, cuddle...  not all shots need to have everyone smiling at the camera.  

What bonds your family together?  Think about how we can incorporate this into your photos.  Do you love to read together? Bring books.  Do you love to play football? Bring a ball.  

Make sure your children are well rested and bring snacks!
