My life has not turned out as I thought it would. I didn't foresee myself living with my sister as I approach my 29th birthday. The whole 'we are going to live together and work together and never be apart!' conversations Jess and I had growing up were supposed to be hypothetical jokes. Welp.. here we are. I really am so happy that I get to be so close to her. I get to see my beautiful nieces, Cadence and Clara, everyday. I am able to see them grow, and experience the kind of hilarity that only children can bring to your life. They call me 'Sisis' (pronounced 'see-sees'). They are the loves of my life. Living with them has truly given me an insight as to what it will be like to be a parent... I mean.. I have already discovered that you get zero privacy with children. I cannot even brush my teeth without them banging on the door, "Sisis! What are you doing?" I am still brushing my teeth.. just as I was 20 seconds ago when I answered you the first time. Turns out, kids are really needy. They are so worth it.
For now, I really just want to help you guys get to know us and the dynamic of our family. Jess won't be taking pictures for a bit since she is verryyyyy pregnant with twins (I had to take her boots off for her today.. and so it begins..). TJ's parents, Tom & Tina, were right on time today bringing her a pregnancy gift...something called a 'reach tool'. She is to the stage where simple tasks become big to-do's. I find it funnier than I probably should.
TJ & I will be doing some photo shoots throughout December. I will take you guys behind the scenes on those days, and am going to start featuring some of our clients. You can also start to look for photography tips from Jess & TJ in future blogs. TJ will explain how he goes about discovering his props, and turning ordinary things into creative photo sets. Jess will give us some great advice on clothes to choose for your photo shoots as well as a 'DO's & DON'Ts' list.
I am excited to be able to share our lives with you, and bring you guys with me behind the scenes of a family business. I am sure I will have some funny stories for you after our family Thanksgiving tomorrow. Until then, Happy Thanksgiving!!!
